UdK Berlin decided not to renew Tirdad Zolghadr's contract as a guest professor at its Graduate School, despite a previous verbal agreement that it would last until September 2025. This was decided in a vote that was subject to backroom pressure and bureaucratic trickery, presumably because of his support for the student protests against the genocide in Gaza. The university has not given any explanation for this.
