Palästina-Solidarität Köln was denied participation in Cologne Christopher Street Day because the organizers felt that the Palestine issue did not "fit into the overall picture." When the organizers were reminded of the year's theme of "Human Rights", and the fact that CSD is a demonstration, they offered a "compromise" and said that Palästina-Solidarität Köln could join the march, but without any reference to Palestine (no watermelons, keffiyehs or banners).
