In April 2025, a film crew from ARTE traveled to Bucharest to record a segment with Mihaela Drăgan about her theatre performance TRAUMA KINK for the program ARTE Twist. In a subsequent phone call, the reporter who had interviewed her over two days told her that the editorial team was concerned about her wearing a necklace with the map of Palestine without explaining on camera why she wears it. On May 7, 2025, ARTE informed Drăgan by email that the segment would not be broadcast, citing “filming conditions” and stating that the material did not meet the program’s requirements.
