The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg withdrew the room reservation for a lecture and book presentation titled Genocide in Gaza – A Political and Legal Analysis with authors Helga Baumgarten and Norman Paech. The cancellation happened only three days before the scheduled event, although it has been approved over a month ago. The decision for the cancellation came about after a public opposition from the student group AK Antisemitismus. The reading was subsequently relocated and held publicly in front of the city hall.
