The University of Freiburg denied a request by Regenbogenreferat and Queers for Palestine Freiburg to hold a Queer Cinema for Palestine (QCP) screening on campus, citing QCP's proximity to the BDS movement and referring to a non-binding recommendation by the Baden-Württemberg state parliament – which ultimately leaves the decision to the university itself. The screening, which featured eight short films on queer Palestinian experiences, was held on June 12 at KTS Freiburg instead.
