Lamis Ammar's participation in the production Cassandra was cancelled by Maxim Gorki Theatre, despite the fact that Ammar had completed two rounds of auditions and had been selected by the director. The production addresses themes of silenced and “cancelled” voices, yet Ammar was excluded from the cast following the earlier cancellation of the Palestinian play Minor Detail at the same theatre.
