The group, which includes numerous Jewish and anti-fascist organizations, stated that the gathering was intended to commemorate victims of genocide and fascism, honour the Buchenwald Oath, and uphold the fundamental duty to oppose all genocides, particularly the genocide currently taking place in Palestine. However, a written ban from the police was received on 30 March, 2026 — a decision that the campaign leaders challenged.
