On November 18, 2025, just hours before Berlin Insoumise’s planned Palestine event at the Karl-Liebknecht-Haus, the venue’s management canceled the room booking – despite the reservation having been confirmed for over ten days. In an email sent at noon, Matthias Höhn (director of the Tagungszentrum am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz), justified the cancellation by claiming that the publicly announced content of the event "deviates significantly from the information provided" and that "protests against your event have been announced in front of our conference centre." The event was subsequently moved at short notice to the Altes Finanzamt.

Berlin Insoumise and supportive Die Linke activists dispute both points: they note that the event topic had not previously been required for bookings, and no protest had been registered or observed at the site. The event—featuring LFI MEP Emma Fourreau and activists from the Gaza Flotilla—was intended to address the situation in Gaza, flotilla actions, and the repression of Palestine solidarity in Germany. Organizers and internal critics within Die Linke widely view the last-minute cancellation as politically motivated and part of an escalating pattern of suppressing pro-Palestine voices.
