On November 7, 2025, dancer Greta Salgado read a statement after her performance in Beasts & Bodies at Ringlokschuppen Ruhr in which she spoke out against the genocide in Gaza, Germany’s complicity in it, and the censorship of voices in solidarity with Palestine in the German cultural and arts scene. Immediately after her statement, representatives of Ringlokschuppen Ruhr labeled her speech "antisemitic" and "discriminatory," and the performance scheduled for the following day was canceled. In a public statement, the venue further claimed that parts of her speech could be understood as a "relativization of the Shoah" and declared, "We cannot tolerate this in our premises," adding that the statements "contradict our self-image."

Nosecalla’s lawyer rejected this, arguing that describing the actions of the Israeli government as "genocide" is neither an "antisemitic narrative" nor a "relativization of the Holocaust," but a statement of fact. He criticized the theater’s statement as contributing to the objective justification of the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
